Kingsland Eco-neighbourhood

About us

Kingsland Eco-Neighbours is an eco-neighbourhood group supported by the Albert-Eden Local Board. We have a variety eco-initiatives on the go and also run one-off events.

Currently our main project is caring for the Kingsland orchard and community garden between Bond St and New Bond Street. In this space we grow food, have composts and a large worm farm, and have pollinator gardens that support native and introduced pollinators.

The group is also waging war on pests on the sunny northern slopes between the Kingsland shops and the north-western motorway. If you live in this area and are keen to get involved in predator control, please get in touch. In return for a free rat trap in a protective safety tunnel we just ask that you report your catches. We are coordinating with the Predator Free Morningside / Western Springs to track our traps and catches.

You can find out more and get regular updates on our Kingsland Eco-Neighbourhood Facebook page.
