Predator Free Grey Lynn

About us

Predator Free Grey Lynn logo

Predator Free Grey Lynn aims to rid Grey Lynn and Arch Hill of predators like rats, possums and stoats in order to protect and enhance native bird and plant life.

To ramp up our efforts we need more locals to start trapping in their back yards. Please get in touch if you’d like to receive a free rat trap These come with a wooden safety box to protect the paws of curious pets and kids. We can also loan possum traps. All we ask is that you keep your trap baited regularly and report catches by email.

We are building a network of ‘street champions’. Would you be prepared to take responsibility for spreading the word in your street, help your neighbours to set up their traps and provide a bit of support to the less confident trappers out there when needed? If so, we’d love you to get in touch.
